White House Tracks Activity of Armenian Terrorists
CIA is said to be preparing a special report on terrorists with Armenian passports Baku Today
December 31, 2002 (www.bakutoday.net) - The situation of CIS citizens' participation in terrorist activities committed in the territory of the USA was discussed at US Senate's Intelligence Committee in late-December. It became clear that businessmen coming from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan to the USA, especially California, Los Angeles and Washington have links with terrorist organizations.

California court and accused of terror earlier and whose name is mentioned in Islamic terrorist organizations, is one of the members of this group.

He began his activity in Armenia in 1998 and established bases in Chechnya and Daghestan. This person bears Armenian citizenship. He had a hand in latest terrorist acts in Chechnya and Daghestan, the information says.

Vadi al Qaid arrested by Russian Federal Security Service came to Yerevan again after he was released on January 16, 2001. He holds meetings with MPs of Armenia. Armenia involves Arab investors in order to develop its economy. $386 mn money invested in Armenian economy by his mediation till February 4, 2001. According to the information, special report is being prepared by Central Intelligence Agency for White House about the list of terrorists operating with Armenian passports. The list of 18 Arab terrorists bearing passports of CIS republics was submitted to the administration of White House by Central Intelligence Agency and Federal Security Bureau. Six of them bear Armenian citizenship. These persons operate in "Al Qaeda", "Al Muhajirun", "Power of Jerusalem", "Hizbullah" and other terrorist organizations. A group of Lebanese and Iranian hizbullahists met in Khankendi with Arab businessmen working in Armenia on April 9 of the current year and basis of the organization belonging to Lebanon's "Hizbullah" was established there.
