Turkish Times now a Monthly
Effective February 1st. 2003, the Turkish Times will be published on a monthly basis
As you know, in this fast paced information age when news is disseminated on a minute by minute basis, it has become clearly impossible to present to our readers meaningful fresh news on a bi-weekly schedule.

Although ATAA has been trying to keep up with this pace by sending out timely information via the internet to our members and subscribers, while transforming the Turkish Times into a more analysis, content and community based publication, we now have decided that over the next few months, to transform the Turkish Times from a newspaper into a colorful magazine with a longer shelf life.

We hope that you will find this new format both more informative and entertaining. Rather then being an instrument of forwarding you news you have already heard, the new publication will concentrate more on community news, business networking for Turkish Americans, promoting the historical and touristic riches of Turkey, accomplishments of Turkish Americans and local ATAA organizations, Turkish cuisine, and will even include a children's section. The magazine will still have a section allocated for opinions of the readers and will, from time to time, include analyses by outside sources relating to topics concerning Turkey and Turkish-American relations.

While making this change, we will also intensify our efforts to bring you electronic news through ATAA's website (www.ataa.org) and provide you with e-mail news so that we will not compromise our pledge to provide a quality ATAA publication to our membership and you.
