Ercument Akman Organizes SILK ROAD Film Fest 2004
Nine countries to send films to March 12-20, 2004 festival
The Turkish Times - Ercument Akman, the architect, film connoisseur, Istanbul International Film Festival jury member, and an active member of the local Turkish-American organization ATA-DC, has added another feather to his busy cap by founding the "SILK ROAD Film Fest 2004" to take place March 12-20 2004 in Washington DC.

Twelve feature films will be screened in cooperation with AFI (American Film Institute) from the following nine Silk Road countries: China 2 , Korea 2, India 1, Turkey 1, Central Asia 2, Japan 1, Iran 1, Pakistan 1, Russia 1

"Silk Road Caravan" segment of the program will present shorts, documentaries, experimental as part of DC Independent Film Festival, March 4-11 2004. "Silk Road My Love" will showcase environmental films, March 18-28 2004. Advisors of the SILK ROAD Film Fest include the following cinema authorities from around the world:
